Navigating the App
Herd Manager is organized into tabs along the bottom (mobile) or top (desktop) of the screen. Here's what each one does.
Main Tabs
| Tab | What it's for |
|---|---|
| 🏠 Dashboard | Overview of your herd at a glance — upcoming events, quick stats, and recent activity |
| 🐐 Herd | All your goats. Tap any goat to open their full profile |
| 🥛 Milk | Daily milk logging, lactation tracking, and production charts |
| 🎯 Breeding | Breeding events, pregnancies, due dates, and kidding records |
| 📅 Calendar | Events, reminders, tasks, and chores |
More Features
On mobile, tap the ⋯ More button to access additional tabs:
- 🌐 Marketplace — Buy, sell, and browse goats
- 🏆 Shows — Show entries, results, and linear appraisal scores
- 💰 Finances — Income, expenses, budgets, and tax reports
- 🌿 Pasture — Paddock management and feed tracking
- 👥 Team — Invite family members or employees
- 🏡 Farm — Your public farm profile
- ⚙️ Settings — Account, subscription, import/export, and preferences
On desktop, all tabs are visible in the top navigation bar.
Header Bar
The header bar at the top of every screen contains:
- ☁️ Sync — Manually sync data to the cloud
- 💬 Feedback — Send suggestions, bug reports, or feedback directly to us
- 🌙 Dark Mode — Toggle between light and dark themes
- 🏡 My Farm — Jump to your public farm profile
Goat Profiles
Tap any goat in the Herd tab to open their full profile. Each goat has multiple tabs:
Overview · Pedigree · Genetics · Weight & BCS · Milk · Fiber · Market Value · Breeding · Health · Shows · Documents · Notes · Photos

Search & Filter
The Herd tab includes search and filter options at the top:
- Search by name, registration number, or tag
- Filter by breed, sex, status, or age
- Sort by name, age, or date added
