Navigating the App
Herd Manager is organized into tabs along the bottom (mobile) or top (desktop) of the screen, with everything else tucked behind the ☰ More menu.
Main Tabs
| Tab | What it's for |

| 🏠 Dashboard | Your herd at a glance — upcoming events, alerts, quick stats, recent activity |
| 🐐 Herd | Every goat. Tap any goat to open their full profile |
| 🥛 Milk | Daily milk logging, DHIA tests, lactation curves and forecasts |
| 🍖 Meat | Grow-out tracking, carcass data, lots, and market performance |
| 🧶 Fiber | Shearing records, micron and staple length, fiber quality |
| 🎒 Pack | Conditioning sessions, trips, and pack goat readiness |
| Breeding | Breedings, due dates, kidding, and all the genetics tools |
| 📅 Calendar | Events, reminders, tasks, and chores |
| Community | Marketplace, farm directory, stud listings, and messaging |
Those four tabs follow your Farm Focus setting. If you only selected Dairy during setup, the Meat, Fiber, and Pack tabs stay hidden so the app isn't cluttered with features you don't use.
Change it anytime in Settings → 🎯 Farm Focus. Nothing is deleted when a tab is hidden — turn a purpose back on and your records are still there.

A red dot on ☰ More means you have an unread reply to feedback you sent.
Header Bar
Along the top of every screen:
- ☁️ Sync — manually push data to the cloud (it also syncs automatically)
- 💬 Feedback — send a suggestion or bug report, and view replies to past feedback
- 🌙 / ☀️ — toggle dark mode
- 🏡 My Farm — jump to your public farm profile
- 🔔 — notifications
Inside the Breeding Tab
Breeding holds more than breedings. The subtabs across the top:
- 🎯 Decision Hub — what needs attention right now
- 🐐 My Breedings — recorded breedings, due dates, and pregnancy status
- 💰 Stud Services — your stud listings and incoming bookings
- 🧬 Semen Inventory — stored straws and AI supplies
- 💉 Sync & AI — synchronization protocols
- 🧬 Genetics — opens the genetics tools below
Under 🧬 Genetics there's a second row of subtabs:

Goat Profiles
Tap any goat in the Herd tab. Their profile opens with these tabs:

The production tabs (Milk, Meat, Fiber, Training) appear based on your Farm Focus, the same way the main tabs do.
More profile tabs sit behind the profile's own ☰ menu:

Goats recorded as pedigree ancestors you don't own show a reduced set of tabs — there are no health or production records to keep for an animal that isn't in your barn.
