Recording Breeding Events

Accurate breeding records are the foundation of a successful breeding program and reliable due date predictions.

How to Record a Breeding

  1. Go to the 🎯 Breeding tab
  2. Tap + Add Breeding Event
  3. Select the doe and buck
  4. Enter the breeding date
  5. Add optional notes (observed standing heat, AI vs natural, etc.)
  6. Tap Save

The app automatically calculates the expected due date (approximately 150 days for standard breeds, 145 for miniatures).

Breeding Event Details

Each breeding record tracks the doe, the buck (from your herd, external, or AI sire), the date, breeding method (natural, AI, or lap breeding), and notes.

Multiple Exposures

If a doe is exposed to a buck over multiple days, you can record each exposure separately. The app uses the most recent breeding date for due date calculation.

After Recording

Once a breeding is recorded, the doe appears in the Pregnancy Monitoring section with a countdown to her due date. She'll also show on your Calendar.
