Kidding Events & Records

When a doe kids, record the details to build a complete breeding history and track kid development.

Recording a Kidding​

  1. Go to the Breeding tab → find the pregnant doe
  2. Tap Record Kidding
  3. Enter the kidding date and time
  4. Add each kid: sex, color, weight, name
  5. Note any complications or assistance needed
  6. Save

Kidding Details​

Each kidding record includes the date and time, number of kids born, each kid's details (sex, birth weight, color, markings, viability), presentation (normal, breech, etc.), assistance level (unassisted, minor, major, vet required), and notes about the birth.

Kids Are Automatically Added​

When you record kids during a kidding event, they're automatically added to your herd with the correct dam, sire, and date of birth already filled in.

Birth Weight Tracking​

Recording birth weights establishes a baseline for growth monitoring. You can continue logging weights in each kid's profile → Weight tab.
