Public Farm Profile
Your public farm profile is a free mini-website for your farm — herd, animals for sale, stud services, and your story, at a link you can share anywhere.
Where: ☰ More → 🏡 Farm Profile Privacy controls live in Settings → 🔒 Privacy & Marketplace Visibility.
Setting It Up
- Farm name and description
- Custom URL slug — your page lives at
herdmanager.app/farm/your-farm-name - Farm logo
- Location — see below for exactly what gets published
- Breeds and breeding focus
- Registrations you're a member of
- Contact preferences
What Actually Gets Published
Worth being precise about, since this is a public page:
| Published | Not published |
|---|---|
| Farm name, slug, owner name | Street address |
| General location and state | Anything you haven't entered |
| 5-digit ZIP and approximate coordinates (used for distance search) | |
| About text, breeding focus, registrations | |
| Email and phone only if you enable "Show contact info" |
Contact details are off by default. Your farm can be found, browsed, and messaged without your phone number being on the internet.
What Visitors See
- Your farm info and logo
- Your herd roster — if you've enabled herd sharing
- Goats for sale
- Stud services
- Products
- Founding Farmer badge, if you have one
Controlling What Shows
Several independent controls, covered in detail in Farm Information & Privacy:
- Share herd — whether the roster appears at all
- Hide my herd size — hides goat/doe/buck/wether counts while keeping the roster. Newer farms have this on by default
- Hide from my public farm page — a per-goat switch on each goat's edit screen
- Private in community lookup — a different per-goat switch that affects pedigree searches, not this page
A goat can be private in pedigree lookups and still listed on your farm page, or the reverse. They're separate settings answering different questions.
Sharing It
The URL is clean and memorable — put it on social media, business cards, sale ads, or in your email signature. Nobody needs an account to view it.
