Once you have more than a couple of dozen contacts, finding the right one matters.

Typesโ€‹

Contacts are grouped by what they are to your farm:

๐Ÿ‘‹ Prospect ยท ๐Ÿ’ฐ Past Buyer ยท ๐Ÿ Breeder ยท ๐Ÿ“ฆ Vendor ยท ๐Ÿฅ Veterinarian ยท ๐Ÿ“‹ Other

Types are what make the list useful at speed: prospects when you have kids coming, past buyers when you want repeat business, vets when something's wrong.

Move prospects to past buyer when they buy

It takes a second and it keeps two genuinely different lists clean โ€” people to sell to, and people who already bought and might come back.

Favoritesโ€‹

Mark the handful you contact constantly โ€” your vet, your hay supplier, the neighbor who hauls. Favorites pin to the top so you're not scrolling.

Most farms have four or five. If you've favorited thirty, it stops doing anything.

Why Contacts Live in the Appโ€‹

Contacts connect to your records rather than sitting in your phone:

  • Past buyers link to the goats they bought
  • Interaction logs record what was discussed and when
  • Waiting lists track who wants what from next year's kid crop
  • Contacts can be linked to a farm in the community

A buyer who asked about a blue-eyed doeling last March is worth remembering when one is born. That's what the CRM side is for.
