Championships are earned across multiple shows. Herd Manager tracks the legs so you don't reconstruct them from a stack of show catalogs in December.
Recording Legs
When you record a show result, note any championship leg earned. Legs accumulate on the goat's record.
Why the Class Details Matter
A win recorded without context is trivia a year later. Record:
- Total entries in the class — first out of twelve means something first out of two doesn't
- The judge — patterns across judges tell you things about your animals
- Sanction body — ADGA, AGS, NPGA, ABGA and others have their own rules and counts
Herd Manager stores all of these on each result, which is what turns a list of placings into a career you can actually read.
How many legs a championship takes, what counts as a leg, and what qualifies a show differ between registries — and change over time. Herd Manager records what you enter; the registry's current rulebook is the authority on what it adds up to.

Each goat's 🏆 Shows profile tab shows their full record — placements, judges, legs earned, and appraisal scores alongside their production and pedigree.
That combination is the argument for an animal when a buyer asks.
