Sale & Transfer Documents
Bill of Sale
☰ More → 📊 Reports → 🖨️ Printable → Bill of Sale
A printable bill of sale for goat transactions, covering seller and buyer details, the animals with their identification, purchase details, and terms — including a seller warranty clause.
You can select multiple goats (Ctrl/Cmd-click) and put them on one document, which is what you want when someone buys a trio rather than making three separate papers.
Print it or save as PDF through your browser's print dialog.
This is a practical document, not a lawyer-drafted contract, and requirements vary by state and country. If a sale is high-value, involves unusual terms, or crosses a border, have someone qualified look at your terms. Many breeders keep their own contract and use this alongside it.
Product Sale Receipts
Separate from goat sales: if you sell cheese, soap, fibre, or meat, the products side generates its own customer receipts with a receipt number, itemised sale, and paid/unpaid status.
Digital Transfers
When a goat moves to another Herd Manager user, a digital transfer records the date, both parties, and the animal — and moves her records rather than making the buyer retype them.
That's separate from the bill of sale. The transfer is the data moving; the bill of sale is the paper both parties keep.
What to Include in a Sale Packet
A well-put-together packet usually means:
- Bill of sale
- Pedigree certificate
- Health history — vaccinations, treatments, testing
- Registration papers, if transferring
- Any health certificate required for travel
Herd Manager generates the first three from records you already keep.
