Selling Goats Workflow

Get the best results when selling goats through Herd Manager.

Preparing a Listing​

  1. Upload quality photos — side profile, front view, and udder shots (for does)
  2. Ensure the goat's profile is complete — registration, pedigree, LA scores, milk records
  3. Set the status to For Sale and add an asking price
  4. Write a compelling description highlighting strengths

Managing Inquiries​

  1. Respond to buyer messages promptly
  2. Share additional details or records as requested
  3. Arrange visits or shipping logistics

Completing the Sale​

  1. Generate sale documents (bill of sale, health records)
  2. If the buyer uses Herd Manager, send a digital transfer
  3. Update the goat's status to Sold with sale details
  4. Record the income in Finances
